Cayman Islands Cultural Attractions

Cultural attractions are central to Cayman’s annual calendar and the islanders’ sense of identity. Founded in a seafaring and farming community, Caymanians are proud of their heritage. The National Museum is a great place to get an overall feel of the islands’ history, while the National Gallery showcases the best of art. Other top cultural attractions include Pedro St. James, an 18th century great house, and Mind’s Eye, an old-time home where intuitive artist, the late Miss Lassie, lived and painted. Pirates Week, Batabano and CAYFEST are all festivals which celebrate culture each year.
