Penny Black
Named after the first stamp ever produced, Penny Black, located upstairs in the Cayside Galleries on George Town waterfront, is a delight for stamp collectors. Specialising in antique Caymanian stamps, Penny Black sells both used and unused postmarked stamps. The earliest Caymanian stamps date back to 1900. Prior to that, Jamaican stamps were used, although they would have been stamped with a Cayman Islands stamp. Stamps are available in sets, collections or individually.

Artifacts
One of the longest established shops in downtown George Town, Artifacts is filled with items you might expect to find in a pirate’s treasure chest, such as antique compasses, binoculars, hand-held telescopes, sterling silver jewellery, old maps and navigational charts. Artifacts features an extensive collection of antique coins, some of which were salvaged from shipwrecks, and some that date back to the first century AD. Alongside these unusual antiques there is also modern, handcrafted jewellery and porcelain from around the world, prints by local artists, photographs, enamel pill boxes and many unique gifts.

Island Glassblowing Studio
Stop by Island Glassblowing Studio on the waterfront in George Town for an experience that will not disappoint. Watch the talented artists rolling and shaping molten glass into intricate shapes and form during the daily demonstrations. The Venetian-style glassworks range from tiny, detailed pieces, such as earrings, bottle stoppers and cufflinks, to large plates, bowls and vases. For a handcrafted gift, choose from figurines, statuettes, multi-coloured Christmas tree decorations and colourful stingrays.
