To Hell and back You’ll have a ‘Hell of a time’ at this West Bay attraction, so called because of its unusual limestone rock formations. The sharp, desolate terrain offers a glimpse of a place even hotter than a summer day in Cayman. Admire the scenery as you make your way along the boardwalk, with flowering bushes standing in stark contrast to the hellish landscape next door.
One of the must-do activities in Hell is to send a postcard from the government-run Hell Post Office, with the HELL postmark stamped on the back. The on-site store has a great selection of tongue-in-cheek postcards to choose from, with greetings like “You saw me in Hell first”.
No visit to Hell would be complete without meeting the Devil. Fortunately, the attraction’s owner, Ivan Farrington, has a habit of dressing up as the Devil to pose for pictures on the deck overlooking the rocks.
There is also an assortment of keepsakes including T-shirts, crafts, ‘Hell’ hot sauces and locally-made jewellery.
