Live Music

Many people love listening to live music, especially on vacation. Cayman’s live music scene offers an array of styles to suit every taste, from soft Caribbean rhythms to funky house and international DJs. Dance the night away to the islands’ best musical acts, while enjoying the beauty of the Caribbean.

Havana Club is home to some of the hottest bands on the island. Located on Seven Mile Beach, Havana Club is known for its Cuban theme, complete with a cigar lounge, and is a great place to listen to live music in a relaxed atmosphere. Red, White and Blues, Sean B, and Gone Country are just some of the musical acts that regularly play at Havana Club.

For a night of great music and Caribbean vibes, try Royal Palms Beach Bar, just down the road from Havana Club. This island institution is perfect for dancing the night away under the stars, with the beach only metres away.  Every Friday and Saturday night, local bands play reggae, soca and calypso music.
Aqua Beach, also on Seven Mile Beach, hosts a jam night every Thursday. Most recently, the venue has expanded their live music lineup to include Local Motion Band and Jean Eric Smith, also known as Notch, who play a mixture of reggae and blues every Wednesday night.

The Treasure Island lobby is also home to several live shows, including those by 1980s tribute band Suite Elite, which light up the lobby every second Saturday evening. In addition to the high energy performance of Suite Elite, the Panoramas and Pandemix steel pan bands also make the lobby another great venue for live music.

Camana Bay hosts live music events every week. On Wednesday evening, enjoy the unique sounds of steel drums with Pan on the Paseo. Different steel drum bands play every week in the Town Centre. On Friday evenings, Live on the Paseo features the islands' hottest musical acts.

Regular Events

 Mark your calendar for these fun and exciting events, which are guaranteed to keep you partying all night long.

Salsa Tuesday
Get into the rhythm with Salsa Tuesday at The Wharf. Edgar the Salsa King will teach you everything you need to know with free salsa lessons. Then you can spend the rest of the night showing off your new moves. Held every Tuesday from 9pm.

Pan on the Paseo
This weekly event brings the sounds of the Caribbean to Camana Bay. Each Wednesday, different steel pan bands entertain the crowd, including many of Cayman’s most talented youth bands. Beginning at 5.30pm, Pan on the Paseo is a perfect event for the family.

Ritz After Eight
The Silver Palm Lounge inside The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman comes to life during its After Eight events. Great music, dancing, and your favourite wine, champagne or cocktail of choice all makes this an amazing night with the fun starting at 8pm. It’s the perfect way to experience the glamour of The Ritz Carlton.

Live on the Paseo
Enjoy local music in a relaxed environment at the Paseo in Camana Bay. This weekly event, held every Friday at 7pm, showcases local bands and musicians. Live on the Paseo is a must for music-lovers and is open to the public.

Ultimate 80s Dance Party
Relive your favourite decade as the DJ spins tunes from the 1980s. Don legwarmers, neon clothes and as much glitter as you can handle. Held every second Friday of the month at The Wharf, it truly is the Ultimate 80s Dance Party. From 9.30am to 1.30am.

Boogie Nights
Break out the bell bottoms and strap on the platform shoes for the old school dance party that will have you Stayin’ Alive all night long. Boogie Nights is held the last Friday of the month at Tiki Beach and is always packed with fun-loving locals and tourists. 

Glory Days
Enjoy a blast from the past with The Wharf’s newest event, Glory Days. DJ Ben spins the very best tunes from the 70s and 80s as well as classic rock. Held the second and last Friday of every month, beginning at 9pm, this is the ultimate way to relieve the glory days of past decades.

Full Moon Party
Join hundreds of revellers as they celebrate the power of the full moon on beautiful Seven Mile Beach. Calico Jack’s Full Moon Party is one of the most popular parties on island with musicians and DJs entertaining the crowds until late.
